　　The two charts above tell us two facts. First, the annual income of average families in X cityincreased from $12,000 in 2005 to $16,000 in 2010, an increase of more than 33% in the fiveyears. Second, with the rise in income the percentage of expenditure increased, too. Of thetotal expense, that spent on housing and food grew from 43% to 54%, which is an increase of11% over the five years.
